Yes, we will be putting proceedings on the web, in the form of PowerPoint presentations, abstracts/papers and hopefully some film footage. This will happen progressively over the next 3-4 weeks so keep checking the site.

We will be in touch soon to send you a participants list, seek feedback on SAS2010, and ask for your ideas about keeping the conversation alive.

I’m sure you will agree that we have a fantastic line-up for both the plenary day on Tuesday 25th May (Day 1) and the concurrent sessions on Wednesday 26th May (Day 2), where there really is something for everyone. Over the course of the two days we will be covering the full range of sustainability assessment practice from the most strategic to the most specific, with plenty in between including presentations of best practice case studies and useful tools and techniques for real-life sustainability assessment.

Post Symposium Workshop:
The ALCES Group, (www.alces.ca), a team of planners, landuse experts and ecologists specializing in strategic scale landuse models in Canada, will be attending and presenting at SAS2010. They are also offering a FREE workshop on Thursday 27th May to be held at Curtin University Sustainability Policy Unit in Fremantle, offering participants an opportunity to learn about ALCES III, A Landscape Cumulative Effects Simulator. Course 2: Multi-criteria Decision Analysis for Sustainability Assessment will be presented by Associate Professor Des Klass (Curtin University Graduate School of Business) and Dr Jenny Pope (Integral Sustainability). Des is an internationally -recognsied expert on decision theory, and he and Jenny have recently been working together to integra decision theory and techniques into the practice of sustainability assessment. This course is an opportunity learn more about practical tools to enhance your sustainability assessment practice.
