EcoNomics™: Integrating sustainability into project delivery

Abstract:
EcoNomics™ helps WorleyParsons customers incorporate environmental, social and financial sustainability into project planning and delivery. At last years Sustainability Assessment Symposium we provided an overview of the EcoNomics™ Assessment process, which helps customers incorporate sustainability into business decisionmaking. This year we will show how the assessment process fits into a broader
EcoNomics™ embedded sustainability model.
Case Study:
This embedded sustainability model is currently being implemented on the Southern Sea Water Desalination Plant (SSDP), which is being delivered by the Southern SeaWater Alliance. The embedded sustainability model was developed to integrate sustainability comprehensively throughout design, construction and operation. This approach was designed to ensure that high level policy was applied consistently throughout project delivery. We believe that the SSDP is successfully embedding sustainability across every aspect of the project.
